20G seamless steel pipe is a seamless steel pipe for high pressure boiler of No.20 steel. 20G seamless steel pipe is a high-quality carbon structural steel with carbon content of 0.2%. 20G seamless steel pipe is mainly applicable to the main steam pipe of medium pressure and sub high pressure power station boiler whose calculated wall temperature is not greater than 450 ℃. Its national standard is gb5310-2017 seamless steel pipe for high pressure boiler. Considering that the service life of 20G seamless steel pipe has a direct relationship under high temperature conditions, the standard has made clear provisions on the delivery heat treatment of 20g seamless steel pipe, which requires 880 ~ 940c normalizing.

The chemical composition of 20G seamless steel pipe directly affects the weldability of steel. Generally speaking, carbon content is the main factor affecting the weldability of steel. The more carbon content is, the worse the weldability of steel is. Secondly, the content of alloy elements in 20G seamless steel pipe also has a certain impact on the weldability of steel. The more alloy elements are, the worse the weldability of 20G seamless steel pipe is. In addition, according to the carbon equivalent formula of International Welding Association, CE is 0.23~0.34, 20G seamless steel pipe has excellent weldability, and its welded joint is not easy to produce slag inclusion, porosity, cracks and other defects.

The microstructure of 20G seamless steel pipe is ferrite and pearlite. After working under high temperature and high pressure for a long time, the pearlite in the structure will be spheroidized.
