Cold drawn seamless 4130 tubing is an allloy steel tubing. 4130 alloying elements include Chromium and Molybdenum, and for this reason, it is commonly referred to as Chromoly or Chrome Moly. 4130 alloy steel tubing is widely used in the Aviation, Racing and Cycling Industries because it has an excellent strength to weight ratio, it is very malleable and it is very easy to weld. 4130 Chromoly, Alloy Steel Tube, is resistant to scaling and oxidation and has a clean, smooth finish on both the inside and the outside of the tubing.

Cold drawn seamless 4130 tubing has excellent strength-to-weight ratio and are considerably stronger and harder than standard 1026 tubing. 4130 tubing has a relatively low carbon content so it welds and machines almost as easily as 1018 carbon steel tubing. That’s why 4130 tubing is often selected–for it’s blend of ductility, strength, weight and fabrication advantages. Cold drawn seamless 4130 tubing has a yield strength of 90k to 100k psi and tensile strength of 110k to 120k psi. It’s high yield strength and high ultimate tensile strength gives you the muscle you need for the toughest jobs.
